What Happens During a Professional Scorpion Treatment?
A step-by-step look at a Redline scorpion visit: where the technician looks, what gets treated, and what you should expect afterward.
Most people have never watched a scorpion treatment and are not sure what they are paying for. This is what a Redline technician does at your home, in order.
1. A short conversation
The technician asks what you have seen and where. A scorpion in a bedroom, one at the garage door and one on the back wall each say something different about the property. If you have noticed a pattern, such as always the same bathroom or always after rain, say so.
2. Inspection of the outside
We look at the outside first, because most scorpion problems start there. The technician checks:
- Exterior doors and the garage door edges
- The foundation line
- Patios and paver edges
- Block walls
- Landscape rock and stored items against the house
- Irrigation boxes and damp areas
3. Treatment
The technician treats the exterior perimeter of the home and the places scorpions rest during the day, which we call harborage zones. That includes targeted work in cracks and crevices and at the garage threshold. We also treat the crickets and ants scorpions feed on. Inside, we focus on the rooms where you have actually seen activity. We do not spray every surface in the house.
4. The walk-through
Before leaving, the technician tells you what was treated and why, and what you can do between visits. Typical suggestions are moving storage away from the garage walls, fixing an irrigation leak, changing an outdoor light that draws insects, or keeping an eye on one particular area.
What to expect afterward
Treatment reduces scorpion activity. It does not make a home scorpion-proof, and you may still see one now and then, especially at first and especially if your home backs to open land.
If you are on recurring service and pests come back between scheduled visits, we come back and re-treat at no charge. The technician will also tell you about any re-entry time after treatment. See precautions around children and pets.
